Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Parshiwani

Parshivni Agricultural Produce Market Committee of Nagpur District was established on 19/12/1986. The committee was formed by splitting the Ramtek Market Committee from the Hon'ble District Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Nagpur vide order number MKT/APMC/21080/ dated 19/12/1986. The market committee is functioning as per the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Purchase and Sale (Regulation) Act 1963 and the rules made thereunder, 1967. The actual administration has started from 01/04/1987.

Market Committee was established in the year 1986-87 by dividing from Ramtek Agricultural Produce Market Committee and forming an independent market committee for Parshivni taluka. At that time, a house was taken on rent for the office of the committee and a place was taken on rent for the grain market and a grain market was started under the control of the committee. Especially due to lack of space, many cotton carts had to stand on the side of the road and move forward for hours, keeping the bullocks on their shoulders.
