Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Parshiwani

Parshivni Agricultural Produce Market Committee of Nagpur District was established on 19/12/1986. The committee was established after it was divided from Ramtek Market Committee by the order of Hon. District Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Nagpur No. MKT/APMC/21080/ dated 19/12/1986. The market committee is functioning as per the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Purchase and Sale (Regulation) Act 1963 and the rules made thereunder, 1967. The actual administration has started from 01/04/1987.

Market Committee was established in the year 1986-87 by dividing from Ramtek Agricultural Produce Market Committee and forming an independent market committee for Parshivni taluka. At that time, a house was taken on rent for the office of the committee and a place was taken on rent for the grain market and a grain market was started under the control of the committee. Especially due to lack of space, many cotton carts had to stand on the side of the road and move forward for hours, keeping the bullocks on their shoulders.

Then, in 1997, a total of 1.73 hectares of land was purchased for the development of the market premises. In the year 2002-2003, an auction shed was constructed and in the year 2013-14, a new auction shed and wall compound were constructed. In the year 2004-2005, a 250 MT godown was constructed. Also, in the year 2022-23, a 1000 MT capacity godown has been constructed in the committee under the National Agricultural Development Scheme. Efforts are being made to implement the agricultural product deposit scheme in this godown to ensure that farmers get a fair price for their goods.
